Nella futuribile città di Gotham City, Batman, affiancato da un Robin ormai cresciuto e più indipendente, è sempre pronto ad accorrere laddove si presentano situazioni di pericolo. Nella propria, spaziosissima abitazione, quando torna a casa la sera è accolto dal fedele e amatissimo Albert, uomo tuttofare sempre prodigo di consigli e che quasi di nascosto fa ad un certo momento entrare in casa la nipote Barbara. Da lei rimane subito colpito Robin, che infine riesce a farla partecipare alle loro imprese sotto la maschera della Batgirl. Intanto una minaccia incombe: il malvagio Mr. Freeze vuole distruggere la città se non verrà accolta la sua richiesta di mettere tutto ai suoi ordini. Le autorità si rivolgono a Batman, che subito si mette in azione. Tra i suoi avversari si inserisce anche Poison Ivy, che cerca di ingannare il giovane Robin per arrivare a far cadere in trappola Batman. Questi però, sempre muovendosi nella sua doppia identità dell'eroe e del tranquillo cittadino Bruce Wayne, miliardario dedito ad opere filantropiche, riesce, dopo molti affanni, a sconfiggere il malvagio Freeze e a ridare tranquillità a Gotham City.
