Antonio Guarnieri's artistic activity officially began in Argentina in 1978 with his first exhibition at the Municipal Museum of Modern Art in Mendoza, the city at the foot of Aconcagua where he was born on March 20, 1955. When he arrived in Italy in August 1984, he was already a graduate in Fine Arts from the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza and had behind him a fruitful activity both artistic and in teaching. In addition to having participated in numerous provincial and national plastic arts salons, he also worked on creating stage designs for contemporary theatrical works that subsequently allowed him to access the world of acting and the creation of theater-dance shows as author and director ("Renacimiento" in 1981 and "La Espada Encendida" in 1982, based on text by Pablo Neruda). He has written for art newspapers and published poetry. This latter passion has never been neglected, in fact in Italy his Narciso senza specchio (1988) was born. In his plastic works, the poetic element presents itself incessantly as a call to pure sensitivity.
